  6. Preheat your pizzelle iron until complete heated through and ready to be used.
  7. Add batter to the baking plates and close the iron. Let the pizzelles bake until the browning level of your liking. We personally wait until they are light golden brown. The time required depends on the machine you are using, but it should be somewhere between 30 and 40 seconds. Once baked, use the spatula to gently remove the cookies and place then on a wire rack to cool. An alternative is to make cannoli or ice cream bowl when the cookies come straight out of the pizzelle maker.

Chocolate Pizzelle Maker RecipeChocolate pizzelle maker recipe

To make chocolate pizzelles, you can use one of the 2 recipes mentioned above. All you need to do is add a ¼ cup of unsweetened cocoa powder and another large egg to the recipe. The cocoa powder should be added at the same time as the all-purpose flour. Make sure you self the cocoa powder as it tends to contain lumps that don’t simply dissolve by stirring.

Lemon Pizzelle Recipe

Making this lemon pizzelle maker recipe is just as easy as making the classic pizzelles or oil pizzelle recipes. You can select one of those and omit the anise flavouring. Instead, add some lemon zest to taste.

Nutella Pizzelle Maker Recipe

Another amazing pizzelle recipe I recently found on bonbonsandbiscotti. It is a nutella pizzelle recipe!

  • 1/4 cup melted butter or oil (canola or vegetable oil)

The baking process is similar to the two basic recipes mentions above. You whisk the eggs and add the melted butter or oil, vanilla and Nutella. Then mix it thoroughly to combine.
